Doors
The doors used in Starrco modular offices are commercial-grade steel (3068) with 20-gauge facings and a honeycomb core for enhanced durability. They comply with ANSI/SDI 100 standards and come with a stainless steel key-in handle and an ADA lever lockset for accessibility. Each door is fitted with 1 1/2 pairs of 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ ball-bearing hinges for smooth operation. Additionally, the upper half of the door is glazed with 1/4″ tempered safety glass, ensuring visibility and safety. As an alternative, commercial-quality hollow core wood doors with light oak facings are also available.
Windows
The modular offices feature fixed windows that are nominally 4 feet wide by 3 feet high, allowing ample visibility and natural light. These windows are factory-glazed with 1/4″ tempered safety glass, housed in an extruded aluminum frame. The glass meets ASTM C 1048 and ANSI 297.1-1984 standards, ensuring strength and compliance with safety regulations.
Ceiling
The ceiling system consists of a suspended grid with 2′ x 4′ white mineral fiber tiles. This system is supported by an intermediate-duty white-painted steel grid, ensuring stability. The ceiling tiles have a CAC Rating of 35-39, providing effective sound absorption, and are classified as Class A noncombustible, enhancing fire safety within the workspace.
Dust Cover
For added protection, the modular offices include a 22-gauge, type B, 1 1/2″ ribbed steel deck that is prime-painted gray. While this dust cover is not designed for storage loads unless specified otherwise, Starrco offers pre-engineered roof decks and structural steel components for those requiring load-bearing capabilities.
Electrical System
All electrical components used in Starrco modular offices are U.L. listed and comply with N.E.C. requirements. The standard electrical package includes 2′ x 4′ fluorescent troffer light fixtures (four-lamp type), 120V duplex receptacles, 120V light switches, and a 100-amp load center with circuit breakers. For added convenience, pre-engineered Quick-Tric modular electric components are also available as an optional feature.
